The Wonderful Nami Island

My friends and I kept talking about wanting to go to Nami Island while we are in Korea. Since, I’ve been to Nami Island before, and I know that Nami Island is such a wonderful place, then why not to comeback to this wonderful place?

Nami Island (남이섬) is located in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do. To get there from Seoul, there are several options that you can choose. The first one, is by bus, you have to make a reservation first in here. The second one is using ITX (train) and the last one by using subway. My friends and I chose to use subway because it is the cheapest way to get there, but it takes about 2 hours to Gapyeong Station. It cost about 4500 KRW for round-trip tickets.

From Gapyeong Station, we have to take taxi (or you can also go by bus) to get to Nami Island. It costs about 4,000 KRW to get there (since there were 4 people so 1 person only have to pay for 1,000KRW^^).

After we arrived, we have to buy tickets to get into the island. BTW there are 2 options to get into the island. The first one is by using zipwire (pretty cool right?) It costs 38,000 KRW per person. And the other one is by using ferry. It costs about 10,000 KRW, but foreigner it only costs about 8,000KRW.

My friends and I chose to use ferry instead. After we arrived at the island (finally;)), we went straight to Chicken BBQ place. It costs about 12,000 KRW per portion (for chicken). Very tasty I must say, but there are also other foods if you want to try something else.

After that, near the restaurant, I went to the souvenir shop to buy some post cards for my friends also bought steamed bun (호빵)!

Nami Island has a very beautiful view, everywhere you go, you can always take a really good photo. In nami Island there are also bike rent, “mini train”, and many more.
