Edae & Sinchon

안녕 친구야~ Hi guys! It’s been awhile since my last post^^ I’ve been delaying this post for way too long~ so, I’ve decided that I HAVE TO POST THIS ONE^^

Okay, for this post I’m gonna tell you guys about Edae (이대) and Sinchon (신촌) area since those 2 areas are located near my university. Basically, Sinchon and Edae (Ewha Womans University) are located REALLY near each other.

As you know, Ewha Womans University is a women university (duh!), so in front of this university, there are (literally) a lot of cosmetic and clothing shops, such as etude house, innisfree, clio, nature republic, and others. Also, there is a new place actually, so-called “Lotte Elcube” where YG store, Line Friends store, and other shops are located.

Also, there are a lot of restaurants and food stall as well. My favorite is Kim Ne (김네), which is a kimbap restaurant but they do serve variant menu of Korean food. I usually order shrimp fried rice in here, and the price is pretty affordable.

Also, one of my favorite of food stall is cup chicken!!!! There are several cup chicken food stalls, but my favorite is the one in front of olive young.

It’s pretty fun to walk around in Edae Shopping Street! There are a lot of pretty clothes in there and the price is pretty much affordable as well;)

Now, next to another area, Sinchon. If you know Yonsei University, well this university is located in Sinchon (well Ewha Womans University is located NEXT to Yonsei University). Sinchon area is way bigger than edae.

There are a lot of café, restaurants, arcade and also shopping mall as well. I go to this area a lot HAHA because there are a lot of food in this area. Usually, I go to Hanseot (한솥) restaurant, which is a Korean fast food restaurant, and the price is really cheap!

I think this is the cheapest place to eat Korean barbecue in Sinchon~

Also, I realized that Sinchon is often being used as filming location for Korean drama, as well Korean reality show.

I’ve tried also playing in baseball cage in Sinchon, which I found it really fun but it’s not as easy as you see HAHA~

And of course, I often go to Noraebang (노래방)/Karaoke in Sinchon with my friends. Uniquely, Korea has coin noraebang. SO basically, you just have to put your money in a karaoke machine. Depend on the noraebang, but it usually costs about 500KRW per 1 song. So you just have to pay as much as you want to sing~
